How a targeted seasonal SEO strategy turned Easter into an organic growth engine for one of Greece’s most recognizable home linen brands.
The case
NEF-NEF Homeware, one of Greece’s most recognizable home linen brands, with a history dating back to 1961, entrusted us with a clear goal: to position it as one of Google’s top organic choices for Easter gifts. The targeting wasn’t limited to branded searches. We focused on non-branded queries with high purchase intent, up against major marketplaces and brands with strong topical authority in gifts.
The Challenge
The challenge was twofold. First, “Easter gifts” carry strong commercial and transactional intent in Greece. Second, home linens aren’t the obvious gift choice, so we had to translate NEF-NEF Homeware’s product mix into compelling, seasonal, and SEO-ready propositions.
Our long-standing partnership, with an already mature technical foundation and an organic baseline in gift-related queries, gave us the advantage to move fast.
Our Approach
We designed the strategy starting in January, aiming for an early mover advantage. The pages had to be live one month before Easter, to allow time for crawling, indexing, and the initial evaluation by Google.
- Early planning & publishing to gain time over the competition.
- Creation of a content ecosystem around real user needs.
- Technical SEO enhancements aimed at a top-tier experience on mobile and desktop.
- Structured data and targeted backlinking to build authority ahead of peak demand.
We built a complete content ecosystem around real user needs, combining:
- Landing pages for “Easter gifts” and “Easter table”
- Transactional PLPs for immediate coverage of purchase scenarios
- FAQs to cover long-tail queries and reduce friction in decision-making
In parallel, we strengthened technical SEO, passing the Core Web Vitals on Mobile and Desktop—a competitive advantage over players without comparable technical performance.
We integrated structured data (FAQ schema, ListItem, Event schema, author signals) to strengthen E-E-A-T and improve presence in discovery environments. In addition, we implemented targeted backlinking from portals and newsroom sites, to reinforce the topical credibility of the new pages ahead of peak demand.
What We Achieved
Our strategy didn’t just increase visibility. It won the most critical positions at the heart of Easter demand, taking NEF-NEF Homeware to 1st place for the keyword “Easter gifts” and an avg. position 1–2 across key transactional queries.
Beyond classic organic results, the brand appeared for 13 keywords in Google AI Overviews and recorded a significant increase in traffic from LLM-driven discovery, such as ChatGPT. This confirmed that the strategy covered the entire search journey, from classic SEO to the new discovery surfaces.
Most importantly: NEF-NEF Homeware didn’t just gain traffic. It gained perception—proving that a specialist brand can strategically win the SERPs, even against marketplaces.
The collaboration was recognized with a GOLD award in the Best Seasonal Search & Discovery Strategy category at the Search & Discovery Awards 2026. The distinction confirms that seasonal SEO, when planned early and executed holistically, becomes a true competitive advantage.
